BEST STOCKING STUFFER GIFT IDEAS 2018!
Set of four premium 1939 Detroit Tigers baseball score card drink coasters. Designed from an authentic '39 Tigers scorecard in our vintage baseball memorabilia collection. Great gift idea for Tiger Fans and all baseball history enthusiasts!
The 1939 Tigers compiled an 84-70 record and finished fourth in the American League. The Tigers were led by future Hall of Famer's, Hank Greenberg, Earl Averill, and Charlie Gehringer, who was nicknamed "The Mechanical Man". A teammate reputedly said that Gehriger could be wound up for opening day and then forgotten about. Gehringer, a native Michigander, played 19 seasons for the Tigers and is considered one of the greatest second basemen of all time because of his steady play, excellent fielding and outstanding hitting. Gehringer had a lifetime batting average of.320, and he hit .371 in 1937, and was selected the MVP for the American League that year.
Robust and longer-lasting than ordinary coasters, COOLSTUB™ square wooden coasters come with rounded corners and an extra coating for added durability. Printed on quarter inch birch wood with sustainable water-based inks, our wooden drink coasters feature a mounted cork bottom to protect against scratches on delicate table surfaces. No white is printed which allows the natural wood grain to show through the ticket image. Each coaster will vary in wood grain patterns, meaning no two coasters will ever look completely the same. Our coasters are water & heat resistant. Easy to clean, simply use a wet rag to wipe them off.
